Submission Links

I have had some issues finding places to submit my pieces to, so I thought for my own sanity, and possibly yours, I would try to consolidate what I’ve found. I will endeavor to keep this page current and I will welcome suggestions for additional sites. Let’s make this a useful tool!

Notes/Random Thoughts

Hey writers – let’s help them help us! Buy a t-shirt or something if these organizations sell them, give donations if available, follow on Twitter / Facebook / WordPress if you do those things, Retweet them, buy a hardcopy of their works if available.

Twit-Lit

Twitter literature, 140 characters, though clearly this may change with Twitter’s new (lame) 280 character limit.

Nanoism – http://nanoism.net/      email submissions, approximately 1 week response times

Drabble

Usually 100 word fiction works. Try it – it’s frickin’ hard. And lots of fun!

Drablr – https://drablr.com/  – a self-publishing Drabble network, some good information on writting Drabbles

The Drabble – https://thedrabble.wordpress.com/submit-your-drabble/submissions/       submit directly through their site, no estimated response time posted (though I got a response on one of my submissions within a day or two)

Drabblez Magazine – https://drabblezmagazine.weebly.com/      Submit year round by email, with an expected response time of one to two months

Flash Fiction

this category is not as cut and dry as Drabble. 1000 words seems to be the general rule, but a few places do more and several places expect less. This is very difficult, of course, because if you’ve written a solid 1000 piece you can’t necessarily submit it to very many places.
